Big Bash League 2015/16

... and I think that if Strikers win the semi in Adelaide they also get the final in Adelaide.... not 100% sure about that but what a treat for Adelaide fans and the Strikers as they have done so well throughout the series  ...

Scalpers have bought up tickets for the Semi in Adelaide and selling back at 5x times the price !!!  Shocking !!! 

However, more tickets go on sale tomorrow !!

Adelaide Strikers choke again on the big stage??  Should change name to Adelaide Chokers !!!  .... but how about Adil Rashid's 3 ball knock for 14 runs ?  .... hopefully he can work some magic with the ball

Sydney Thunder need 160 runs to win ...

What a brilliant innings from Khawaja to carry the Thunder to victory. I was really hoping Rashid would spin some magic to pull the Strikers through to the finals, but Khawaja was just too good. The Thunder got off to a brilliant start and from there it was always going to be tough for the Strikers to pull this one off.

In 8 innings since November 2015, Khawaja has scored 5 centuries and 2 fifties. He is in some kind of groove right now with the bat.

Apparently if the Scorchers vs. Stars game hits 48,000 spectators tonight, the Big Bash League would have housed over 1,000,000 spectators in the short 10 week competition. Which when you think about it is unreal. The league has really reinvigorated cricket and captured the heart of youngsters. I've watched every game this season and the level of entertainment is unreal. The Melbourne Derby (Stars vs. Scorchers) which got that huge crowd at the 'G made headlines all around the world. Cricket Australia has done a great job in remodelling our T20 format.

The Melbourne Stars will face the Sydney Thunder in the finals. KP showing his class again. Despite all the controversy that follows KP, he is still one of the games best T20 cricketers. It is a shame that his greatness will not be featured in the upcoming World Cup.

Yep ... brother vs brother.  Michael vs David Hussey !!.... Should be an interesting final.

KP was brilliant tonight and yesterday signed up for another 2 seasons for The Stars ....
