Just read this on Cricinfo so maybe it had something to do with Mac's decision .......
Welcome back after lunch. And we start with a continuation of the follow-on debate. Harkaran Singh has this from the ground: "I am at ground and between over Trent Boult wasn't walking perfectly. Perhaps he hasn't fully recovered from his quad injury. And also Neil Wagner didn't look 100% so it wasn't about resting bowlers because they're tired but to prevent a serious injury. And on top of it this is probably the best time to bat

New Zealand may just have revived the lost art of enforcing the follow on, by accident.

Fabulous comeback with the all by India, getting NZ all out for 105 in the second innings. Now can their much vaunted batting line up buckle down against the Black caps lineup of really good pacers? They need 407 to win with all the time in the world but pace seems to be the Indian Achilles heel.

WTF? 105 AO? What's going on in this test?
Just Rossco reached anywhere near 50, rest all played poor shots, I'm guessing? Anyway.

Haha, do you quote this stuff from somewhere, Chairs?
lol@ "Valiant effort" - wickets are falling in heaps and they have a MAMMOTH target to chase down. And better way to put it would be NZ has all the time to bowl them out. Even if NZ had batted, I'm sure they'd have declared around 500-550ish anyway. No big deal.
First innings pretty much did it for India, BMac and Williamson batted them out. It's a decent bowling track.

Sobers couldn't stay Sober? What a hypocrite
Haha, yeah. Also Jesse ended up in the hospital because of a pub brawl, remember Mailsta? It's messed up. Especially for Jesse.

Was watching this. That was so incredible! NZ finding a way too fall apart. India, Jadeja in particular did really well, but I don't think New Zealand will be too worried just yet. India still need double what they got in the first innings to win, but the momentum has definitely shifted.

Although i couldn't watch the match LIVE,I got a hold of the highlights.WOW,what a comeback by the IND pacers, probably one of their best spells as a unit.If NZ can remind themselves that they are still ahead in this match, they can work their ass off to secure a win.

How would you rate India's performance today. They bowled out the black caps for a paltry score and have started well in pursuit of 407.With two days remaining, time is not an issue, but the task ahead is gargantuan. To win, India would have to better their highest chase by one run.The result of this Test will hinge on how Dhawan and the rest of India's top order cope with early morning conditions on the fourth day
