The last time Bangladesh and Sri Lanka met in a Test was in March 2013, at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo with long grass on the outfield. Tamim Iqbal went off in a huff after failing to get the ball to the boundary more times than he would have liked; match referee David Boon strolled out to talk to the curator, telling him to keep it consistent throughout the game. Sri Lanka managed to win the Test, and the series, but the game wasn't without its share of fun.

I can't believe Bangladesh picked Rubel Hossain. He's crap in tests, more or less. And Bangladeshi pitches are not conductive for pace bowling. I would have easily went with 2 pacers and one spinner - Razzak or whomever they have.
Or even Mahmudullah, I don't know why the guy's been sitting out. He's a quality player and two series back or something used to be their vice captain even.

Either way I'm looking forward to this series. Bangbros make for really compelling watch, contrary to what people might think.
I hope this is not their last international test, that would be depressing, after all this good progress they've made recently in both tests and ODIs.

Terrible by Bangladesh. I mean WTF? I don't know, is it the stress off getting kicked off catching up? Mushfiqur clearly was pretty depressed about the whole thing.
And what sort of retarded decision is it to pick 3 pacers, while their pacers are shit, and that too on a non conductive pitch? Mahmudullah could have done a hell lot of good here for them.

Update : Sri Lanka have got the lead, they are 239/1.Silva is batting beautifully.Although they are moving at snail's pace of around 3 an over,They still have enough time to get to a mammoth target and deflate the already devstated Bangladeshis.I guess they will declare only with a lead of atleast 400 and then concentrate on folding them up.Either way,a result is a surety in this match.
