I have very little words to describe Sammy blaming Permaul for not putting pressure on just to cover up his sorry self. Permaul took 2 wickets and was the most economical which suggests he was tying up one end.

"I am disappointed in the way I and Permaul bowled," Sammy conceded.
"We played two spinners to get wickets for us. We know fast bowlers tend to struggle in India.
At one point of view we just needed one of me or Permaul to support Shillingford"
The debutant 23 year old fast bowler Shami did NOT struggle .Wrong assumption.
Roach and Rampaul would have OUT rohit and ashwin :-[

The Rev years ago introduced this phrase to describe what was expected of Guyanese cricketers---it's called:
As mail pointed out Permaul took 2 wickets---Best took 1 wicket. Cottrell 1 and Sammy 0----But Permaul will always be judged by a HIGHER STANDARD----so he gets blamed.

My agenda is Cricket and has no bias towards any particular side or ethnic group in this forum or in my life.
In the context of cricket in the Caribbean it is clear to observers, either internally or externally, especially to the older ones amongst us that there is ethnic bias in selection, treatment, image to the West indies team. So it does irk me when some posters look further afield when talking about bias and discrimination rather than starting at home. This is a general point.
In terms of the audio, had Sammy unfairly said this about Cotterrell or Best I would have 'lashed out' in the same manner, except on this occasion it would have been justified for Best, as the more experienced player to have failed miserably.
Cotterrell is on debut so can be cut some slack but his speed continually went from 90 to around 70 mph and that is cause for concern.
In this game seam took more than 61% of the wickets for India but Sammy chose to pick on a young man in his third test who has a reasonably record thus far. This is about fairness, motivation and leadership and I do not give two s***s what this young mans' ethnicity is and from whence he comes.
That said how many wickets did West Indies seam take? 2 or 20% of the wickets whilst Indian's seam took 61% (2 run outs excluded so 11 out of 18).
Even if Permaul was crap, for a Captain to single him out to the press shows poor leadership but the fact is Permaul was ok without being exceptional. Had he been given 50 overs he may have taken a 5for. The reality is Permaul held up one end as evident in his economy and I find Sammy despicable.
Also much blame has to be placed at the doors of the batsmen who were awful.

I disagree on a number of basis but
1. Incorrect
2. Poor leadership to single out anyone be they experienced or not.
3. Camouflaging his incompetence
and really I can list forever
