The batsmen failed and I would be surprised if Caribbean people 'like it so'.
Even when praising, the better Captains are measured so as to not alienate and ignore the team effort.
I do not normally get angry like this but to use a young man in his third test as his shield is despicable and downright cowardly.
As I said 61% of Windies wickets went to pace so the Windies pacers had a role to play and did not!!

And at the same time made mention of his Champion Spinner in Shillingford.
Yes Shilly does not deserve to be dragged into this situation as he did well but he did bowl twice as many as Permaul.
However this is about Sammy and his irresponsible behaviour.
It was interesting a previous press conference was done by Samuels and now there are rumours Gibson is on his way to Durham where he finished his playing career and apparently where he still has family, don't ask.
I am sort of calming down now but still irate....
Criticise Best!
Why put such an onus on a lad who had only played 2 tests previously.
I wonder if Gibson pulled him up for it?

Sad to see the team captain single a player out like this. Permaul didn't exactly cover himself in glory but he was putting in an effort every time he was given the bowl while the pacers did absolutely nothing. As everyone can see Shami was very successful. Heck even Bhuvaneshwar was pretty impressive even though he didn't bowl a lot. Some blame can be shifted to the fast bowlers as well.

Spiral,I am not sure I agree mate. This lad is in his third Test and his statistic suggests he was economical, therefore holding up one end whilst Shillingford penetrated. Not sure if these two bowled in tandem.
So I think having taken two wickets ata great economy is good. What more do you think he should have done?
Sammy should have bowled Samuels and Gayle. Samuels eventually bowled 4 and Gayle 0.Exactly so the seamers were less effective.
In fact singling out anyone for criticisms, apart from himself, is piss poor.

There can be no reprieve for the Windies until Sammy and Opiss leave the scene and until then unfortunately fans will have to suffer

Kwams,
Not just fans but importantly players careers are affected.
This lad might be out of favour for the next test and he then disappears. With reference to this same player, he was stripped of the A captaincy for no reason except he had previously lead the A team to success.

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
