After day 1 there is a 99.99% probability the West Indies will lose the Eden gardens test and a 50% likelihood they will lose by an innings.
* The decision to omit Deonarine---he made 94 in the practice match----that decision backfired.
* Why play 5 bowlers---Cottrell, Best, Sammy, Shillingford and Prmaul ?
* Playing 5 specialist batsman will work against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe---but not against a higher ranked team like India.
THIS MATCH IS OVER FOLKS.
India leads 1-0.

No being pessimistic Mr. Chairman---just calculating the odds/probability after day 1.
ON a flat track
WI 234
India 37-0
After day 1 there is a 99.99% probability the WI will lose this test.
RE: THE GREAT MAN
He was the 9th batsman out---he made only 36----2nd highest score---not bad---hopefully get gets a not out in the 2nd innings.
THE TIGER NEEDS 134 FOR 11,000

The question is why have an injured bowler in your squad when you have fit bowlers available. Echoes of Australia when Taylor, clearly injured, had to return before the first test and the rest is history.
Cotterrell, Best, Sammy, Permaul, Shillingford....why 5?
Because even the fool of a Coach does not have confidence in Sammy's bowling. However if Sammy can do well anywhere in the world it could be India.
Ramdin has been in good test batting form in his last few tests but, due to his unreliability, batting at 6 shows a weak lineup never mind Sammy at 7.
No one really had great balls, they all got themselves out and in some cases stupidly.
End of day 4, this should be over most likely by an innings.

The last time India played the West Indies at Eden gardens was 2 years ago---November 2011---in that match India scored a mammoth 631---West Indies lost by an innings and 15 runs.
SCORES
India 631(Dravid 119, Laxman 176, Dhoni 144, Tendulkar 38)
West Indies 153
and
West Indies 463(Bravo 136, Samuels 84)
OBSERVATION:
* West Indies did slightly better in their first innings in 2013---they scored 234
*
CAN INDIA MATCH THEIR 631 SCORED IN 2011 ?

BOTTOM LINE:
India looks set for a massive score---and that means even if the WI puts up a 400+ score in their 2nd innings like they did in 2011---they'd still lose this test match.
By the way, the 2011 test finished in 4 days.
Poster mail already predicted a 4 day test in 2013.
