I have no respect for Afridi. He is a ball tampering cheat and he couldn't cut it at Test level. I don't respect players who retire from Test cricket so they can slog in pyjama cricket. He could have been a great all rounder at Test level.

When does he not hit a six. He's always at it. No wonder he got the most sixes.

Congrats to Afridi for being at the top of the table where hitting sixes are concerned. He is ahead of ST Jayasuriya at number 2 and Chris Gayle at number 3, of the three, Chris Gayle has achieved the best average according to the number of matches plaid. Jayasuriya is also ahead of Afridi in this department.
The top ten list includes some very notable explosive players, however, the most impressive person the according to the number of matches plaid is AB de Villiers.
Afridi has done well, however, and he is a player who is generally feared  by his opponents because of his explosive batting abilities. He is also a highly rated ODI all-rounder who has so far taken 390 wickets.

Afridi is feared not only when he walks out to bat, but also when he takes the ball as a bowler. He is famous [or notorious  ] to break sticky partnerships. Overall, he is a never-say-die fighting cricketer, and that attitude earned him fans all over the world. He has a huge lady following too. And there is a lot of talk on his 'evolving hair-style'. 

Unfortunately, Afridi has been in a decline over the last 12 months, averaging just 14 with the bat and 35 with the ball in T20I's. He picks up a pay check in domestic T20 competitions as much for his past history and name recognition as his current form.

Pakistan also have a losing record with Afridi as captain, winning just 16 of the 35 matches.
