West Indies "A" team to play matches in New Zealand

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has scheduled two "A" Team matches for next month's tour of New Zealand.

CWI CEO Johnny Grave told Stabroek News, “There are two A team matches scheduled at the same time as the Test matches.”

He said the Board's plans are to have “a usual Test squad of 15 and a T20 squad of 14.”

The West Indies "A" Team were last in action in August 2018 against India "A".

The teams played three unofficial Test matches in Antigua and Trinidad and Tobago.

That series saw the emergence of young West Indies fast bowler Chemar Holder, as well as India stars Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill.

The West Indies senior team is due to tour New Zealand in November-December 2020 to play three T20Is and two Test matches.

The tour begins on November 27 with the 1st T20I at Auckland.

Mayank took Gayle "Universe Boss" spot and is now the Opening Bats with KL Rahul

pushed Gayle to # 3 and Nicholas Pooran to # 4

on the KXIP IPL T20 batting order !!
