I saw none of Blackwood's innings; I'll catch the highlights in a few hours time.
Maybe he caught the English off-guard with his counter attacking?
Chase probably tired from bowling Bishoo's alotted 30 overs.

Blackwood has a different approach than the rest. If it's a ball he can hit, he goes for his shot. He defends the good ones. that's simple and effective. and he backs it with self believe, plus he has fast reflexes and doesn't hang his bat outside off stump to gift his wicket away.
a lot of WI batsmen have hard hands...and heads. they commit too early and go hard before even judging length, line and swing.
and you need supple wrists like lara. i saw a few batsmen over over commit to the inswinger and got bowled off the inside edge... really, really bad technique at this level.
