Who are your favourite players?

I'd imagine a lot of us haven't had the same favourite player for all our lives, so I wondered which players have been lucky enough to occupy that spot in our heart over the years. I'd also imagine that there are old 'favourite player' threads from which I could collate this information if I were so inclined, but I'm not.

My earliest favourite player was Michael Vaughan, then it was Steve Harmison, then Monty Panesar, then there was the gap where I wasn't following cricket much leading on to my current favourite Nathan Lyon.

Even I have few favorite players from different teams. The players I like are Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Steve Smith, AB Develliers. All of them are doing quite well for their teams.

I like my Uncle Ganim Khan of the Berbice XI circa 1960s

and my cousin Timur Mohammed from the Guyana XI circa 70s early 80s

and his Dad Edwin Mohammed of the Guyana squad as well !

My few favourites include Glenn Maxwell and Chris Gayle. I also follow few others as they do well.

I surely forget to add Maxwell in my list as he is surely surprise package. Though he is not consistent in performance. But when he plays he is like king for sure. I love his hitting performance always.

I love watching R.Ashwin bowl. There is no wonder that he is called a magician bowler when I look at the way he bowls. Sure, he fails sometimes but definitely the best spinner that I've seen in a long time.

V.Sehwag has always been my favorite batsman. There is nothing that beats the excitement that I get while watching him. He can get out on a duck, or he can hit six on his first ball. His erratic nature makes it exciting for me to watch him.
