The injury scourge for Australia's pacemen has continued with John Hastings, the bustling Victorian bowler, confirmed to have broken his left index finger in an incident at Victorian training on Thursday (October 20).

The 30-year-old is likely to miss four to six weeks, meaning he will be absent for the start of the Sheffield Shield season and is in doubt for Australia's One-Day International series against New Zealand in early December.
