The former international bowler and popular commentator died after a two-year battle with cancer, and tributes have been paid from around the world.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Max Walker.  He was a very good swing bowler.  I have heard of his exploits. RIP!

Recall seeing a great Aussie team at Point a Pierre v Trinidad and Tobago in the early 70s which included Stackpole, Walters, Chappell,  Marsh, O' Keeffe, Lillie and a moustached Max Walker.

I can see that run up now and the aggression. Great competitor and repsented his country well.

Max was a dangerous bowler!  RIP!  passed away the same age as my dad (68)!  too soon :'(
