Tickets on sale for India-West Indies cricket in Lauderhill

Tickets for this month's cricket showdown in Lauderhill between the West Indies and India went on sale Monday evening.

The matches will be played at Central Broward Regional Park on Aug. 27 and 28, starting at 10 a.m. both days.

West Indies is the reigning champion in the T20 format the teams will be playing.

Single-day tickets begin at $100. Two-day passes begin at $180, while a two-day VIP package that includes shade, food and drinks costs $450. Children under 5 are admitted free.

Attendance for the two matches is expected to exceed 15,000 people per day, organizers say.

The facility has hosted two similar events, the most recent in 2012 when New Zealand faced the West Indies. In 2010, New Zealand played Sri Lanka there.
