West Indies name T20 squad to face India

Carlos Brathwaite has been officially confirmed as the new T20 captain, replacing Darren Sammy. Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard both return to the squad after their absence from the team that won the World Twenty20.

Also missing from the World Twenty20 winning squad are Denesh Ramdin, Sulieman Benn, Ashley Nurse and Jerome Taylor.

Tough question, but if I had to pick just one, I'd give the slight edge to Pollard.

Russell has been a bit of an enigma at the international level. He averages just 14 with the bat in T20I's and a bowling average of 36.

Edit: Just checked Pollard's numbers at the World Twenty20 tournaments, and he has underwhelmed. I think you can make a strong case for all 3, and choosing just one would be splitting hairs.

Kieron Pollard: 31.06 batting average and 23.42 bowling average
DJ Bravo: 25.31 batting average and 24.29 bowling average

T20I numbers:
Andre Russell: 14.09 batting average and 36.35 bowling average
Kieron Pollard: 22.13 batting average and 27.18 bowling average
DJ Bravo: 24.51 batting average and 27.51 bowling average

Bravo has actually been the most consistent performer across both international and domestic T20 matches.

I would take dre Russ any day and twice on Sundays.

including Pakistan.

Roston Chase can easily become a fixture across all formats.
