My Opinion.

Why not say something about the players .

They were given an opportunity to wear the maroon cap . It's an honor to represent the West Indies, one
is selected and paid to do so.

Today it showed that these players  do not understand what the history of West Indies Cricket is about . In
the past, we fought and never gave up, even if we lost a series 5-0.

In the last two decades, what have we seen ? Players who are embarrassing the West Indies and its proud tradition.
To be completely bowled out before tea today, says it all . These players are just going through the motions , win or lose
they get paid . An entitlement that we the players think they deserve , how sad.

We have members on this forum , that will blame the WICB . I am asking for what ? Players are selected to give their best
when out on that field of play . If we see surrender as today, how can the WICB be blamed ?
Was the WICB on that field of play today and did they make 196 runs ? Any individual with an iota of brain cells will look at
the eleven players on that field of play. The coach will be blamed for what ? Did the coach go out and bat today?

We won the toss , we are aware of the bounce of the Sabina wicket . Who made the decision to bat first ?
It must be the WICB according to members here on this forum.

This is why I laugh when discussing cricket . We are asking to put members of the U19 in the Test team.
We are asking to put U19 in the CPL , sadly we saw what happened to Joseph .He was taken apart for 4 overs.
We saw what happened to Heitmeyer, he made a duck.

Over the past two decades when we look at discarded players , have we not learned . We can match countries
at the U19 level then what happens. We bring them up a few levels and they are destroyed .

The WICB gives its stakeholders funding , isn't it to nurture such talents . In T&T the FC clubs select such
players they are allowed four , they must play with such clubs . In T&T the onus is not on playing 4 or 5-day
cricket , they have 3-day cricket . How can a player learn how to focus and concentrate on Test cricket , where
do such training and honing his skills being provided.

Look at the ODI and T20 in T&T , millions in prizes . Where will an impoverished kid focus his skills ?
Then we call them mercenary . Did  Sobers , Kanhai etc play in England and Australia , they were paid .
Sobers was paid 5,000 pounds per season to play in Australia .
Were they call mercenaries ?

We are awful in Test Cricket  since England and Australia decided, not to accept mediocre players from the
Caribbean  to play in the longer format of the game .

So let's continue to blame the WICB ,we have nothing better to do .
