Do you think that cricket takes away from other sport?

The media likes to give a lot of attention to cricket, particularly in the UK, and that's fair considering there's a large population of very enthusiastic cricket fans,  o say the least.

But do you think that cricket takes away from other sport in this way because there isn't airspace/time for as much coverage of less popular things like American football, golf, etc. IE, would more people be enthused by other sports given more media coverage?

Just curious as to your thoughts.

Well, calm down. It is only a forum post, and you don't have to pay any attention to it if you don't care. 

I don't necessarily care about the NFL. I was simply using it as an example of other sport that many do follow to an extent.

If just televising a sport gets more people "enthused" about it then why aren't thousands of Americans "enthused"
with rugby/cricket telecasts?  ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::

fair amount on ESPN3, some on ESPN2 and soon NBC sports network...

I agree with you, people on many forums always have something irrelevant to say. I recently started this reply to someone who said somethings on one of my threads in a another forum, and it end up becoming the longest comment I have ever wrote, and I still wasn't finished.

As I was typing, I told myself that I don't need to respond to ignorance. Especially people who can't just answer a simple question.

I also think that if other sports were received as well as cricket, then they would get more broadcast time. It's all about ratings.
