The annoying thing is, the only players on the bench who can replace the ones on the field, are folk like Gabriel and Carter.

As much as we want guys like Paint, Hets, Bishoo, Permaul, Dowrich - even Fuddas had a 50+ average in the last Super50 - on this team, it can't happen.

The thing that annoys me most is the continual rejection of Paint as an ODI opener. He had the second highest ODI average in the domestic 50 over tournament.

Yeah, he bats slow, but we need that. It was this same thinking which booted Chanders from the ODI team, which had a disasterous effect.

I don't mind Gabriel. I just mention him to show that we have no batsmen on the bench.

This ODI team was obviously picked based on the T20 World Cup. Ramdin, Samuels, Charles and Fletcher just won a T20 world cup, so therefore they "had" to be selected.
