ICC pushing for World T20 every two years

I am a fan of increasing the Super 10s to 12 teams, but afraid of the sheer amount of T20 cricket that would be played. There are domestic T20 tournaments taking place seemingly every month of the year as it is. I'd rather watch a World Cup over a domestic tournament, but there is no way the domestic tournaments are going to be reduced or eliminated any time soon. My biggest concern is how this would impact Test matches.

Some might view two additional WT20s during each eight-year cycle as aiding the ascent of T20

at the expense of Test cricket, but the ICC takes a different view.

It is envisaged that the extra sums generated would safeguard the Test game,

by helping to fund the proposed introduction of divisions in Test cricket:

seven teams in Division One

and five in Division Two

remains the most likely option.
