Guyana National cricketers set to entertain at Region one on May 12

The Mabaruma Settlement Recreation ground in Region One is expected to come alive on May 12 when several Guyanese International and national cricketers converge on the venue to entertainment the fans in a T20 fixture.
The game is being organised by Region one 50th Anniversary committee as part of their celebrations and to give the fans an opportunity to interact with their favourite cricketers. A release from the committee stated that the entire region is excited about the game which is sanctioned by the Guyana Cricket Board. According to the release, the Region has a lot of untapped potential and the committee feels that this venture will serve as a motivation for the young cricketers.
The body has expressed gratitude to the Executive of the GCB who are keen to see the outcome and promised to assist with the growth of the game in the area. The GCB has also contributed towards the air fare of seven players, while managing director of Global Technology in Camp Street, George Melville (and family) who hails from the region has assisted with the air fares for seven players.  The committee has also expressed gratitude to Sky West Air Line.
The visitors will be divided into two teams which will also comprise of players from Region One.
The players on tour are; Leon Johnson, Robin Bacchus, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Shivnarine  Chanderpaul, Steven Jacobs, Shimron Hetmyer, Vishual Singh, Rajendra Chandrika, Keemo Paul, Tevin Imlach, Tremayne Smartt and Shemaine Campbelle. Michael Hyles Franco (Coach).

some of these guys probably never went to that part of Guyana.
