He is a better bat than Blackwood and Hope and should not be compared with Kraigg Brathwaite.

Denying him would be repeating the mistake made with Brian Lara delayed DEBUT !

Comparing him with recent debutants without his PROVEN credentials and a Championship

is just being petty and silly ~

Better to debut at home than abroad. Kraigg also debuted young, and that worked well for him. Sure, he was absolutely atrocious at first, but it spurred him on.

To fit on my ODI team, though, Shimron would have to take Fletcher's place.

I wanted to drop Samuels forever after the ODI World Cup, but it's hard to do this after he won the T20 WC. Fletcher keeps as well, doesn't he? Maybe Flecher (he looked good in India) can play for Dowrich. Then Hetmyer takes Blackwood's place.

My team, by the way, can't chase totals or set big targets. It is a specialst "survive 50 overs" and "limit opposition runs" team. This team is designed to limit embarassment.
