Trinidad and Tobago Red Force off-spinner Bryan Charles grabbed five wickets for ten runs to guide Alescon Comets to an emphatic 83-run win over his former club Preysal in their NGC Twenty20 Festival Group D match at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva on Sunday.
Batting first, Comets posted 152 for nine Stephawn Wharwood hitting 27 and Steven Katwaroo making 24. Preysal replied with 69 in 15.4 overs with Charles doing most of the damage and his Red Force teammate Imran Khan chipping in with three wickets for 19 runs.
In other results PowerGen Penal cruised to an easy 48-run win over Central Sports in their Group C Game on Saturday night while Moosai Sports defeated Jenexcon Tableland by seven wickets in the other Group D match on Sunday.

The tournament continued yesterday with Caldrac beating Esmeralda by 103 runs in the early match.

In the second game, Queen's Park Cricket Club took on Prisons.

Today the defending champions Merry Boys will be hoping to bounce back from their opening round Group B loss to Clarke Road when they tackle Calcutta at 7 pm. Clarke Road take the field in today's 3 pm match against Queen's Park II.
