Gavaskar's reaction to Ashwin's no-ball was a thing of beauty.



So much for impartial commentary. He sounded like he came home to find his wife cheating on him.

He's not wrong. The disappointment in his voice during the commentary was palpable.

Front foot no-balls have been few and far between so far this World Cup. It is unconscionable for a spinner to bowl a no-ball. Given the punishment of a free-hit, there is no need to be that close to the line, especially when you are a slow bowler.

I still get a kick out of those fans crying about how lucky Simmons was as he was out twice. There was nothing lucky about it. Indian bowlers needed to have more discipline. They were illegal deliveries. You can't be caught off a no-ball. No luck in that. Just poor discipline.

IMO , it costed nothing Free Hit was negotiated well

after it again. A thick outside edge carries to short third man and Bumrah takes a stunner,

diving low to his right. But has Ashwin overstepped? Uh oh, he has.

Add salt to the wound, it is a free hit and that blaring noise to signal it too.
