Bohemia Primary School retained their male and female titles when the 18th Annual Ministry of Education Department of Sport-Al Sport and Tour Promotion Windball competition continued recently at the Welfare ground.
In the male category, Bohemia overcame St. Patrick’s by eight wickets. Batting first, St. Patrick’s managed 36-4 in five overs with Corwin Newyear scoring 10. Bohemia replied with 37-2, Daniel Persaud cracked 17 and Barrat Rampaul 10.
In the female segment, Bohemia beat St. Patrick’s by eight runs. Bohemia took first strike and posted 38-2 in five overs. Eve Sattaur struck 11 and Devina Singh 10. St. Patrick’s were restricted for 30-4 in five overs. The presentation of prizes will be done in the new school year.
Meanwhile, Kuru Kuru overcame Supply by eight wickets when action in the Upper East Bank Zone continued at the Timehri Red ground recently. Playing in the female division, Supply took first knock and scored 38-2; Alroudha Persaud scored 12. Kuru Kuru responded with 39-2 in four overs. Stacy Flores slammed 34 not out (5×4 2×6).
In the lower East Bank leg, Covent Garden thumped Eccles by nine wickets at the said venue. Batting first in the female class, Eccles got to 38-1 off their allocation of five overs. Tiana Allicock made 17. Covent Garden replied with 39-1; Kimberly Bradshaw stroked 10.
In the male division, Diamond got the better of Covent Garden by seven runs. Diamond rattled up 50-6 in five overs, taking first knock. Bohemia is right next to 19 village in berbice.  If you recall the days of the toll gates on the berbice road, it would about 2 miles south from the first toll gate.
