Red Force pacers shine on opening day

PACERS RAYAD Emrit and Marlon Richards shone with the ball as the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force dismissed the Leeward Islands Hurricanes for 225 on the opening day of their Round Eight Regional Four Day Championships contest at the National Cricket Centre, Couva.

In reply, the Red Force closed on seven without loss with Kyle Hope on five and Imran Khan on two.

Both Emrit and Richards had identical figures of three wickets for 55 on a day which saw play extended by 48 minutes due to a pair of rain stoppages (during the morning session) as well as a delayed start to the game, by an hour, due to the late arrival of Hurricanes’ gear.
