T&T shows no force against Miller

West Indies spin bowler Nikita Miller snatched seven wickets for the Jamaica Scorpions as the T&T Red Force batsmen failed to deliver on the second day of the seventh round in the West Indies Cricket Board Regional Four-Day tournament, yesterday.
After dismissing Jamaica for 225 in the first innings at Sabina Park early in the day, T&T was bowled out for 206 to hand Jamaica a lead of 19 runs on first innings. In the second innings the Scorpions closed the day on 13/0, an overall lead of 32 runs.
Left-handed opener Evin Lewis was the only batsman to offer resistance for T&T, top scoring with 87 off 105 balls, which included five fours and three sixes.
After losing Jeremy Solozano (16) and Kyle Hope (0) in quick succession, Lewis and Yannic Cariah took T&T from 28/2 to a commanding 117/2. However when Cariah lost his wicket for 28 with no addition to the score, a middle order collapse ensued that reduced T&T to 159/7. At the tea break T&T was 161/7 with Miller taking four wickets.
Yannick Ottley and Imran Khan showed some resilience for T&T with a 33-run partnership but it was broken when Ottley was caught and bowled by Miller for 29. The home team did not take long to wrap up the tail as Miller finished with brilliant figures of 26 overs, three maidens, 69 runs and seven wickets.
