Is the state of Cricket Pitches in the Caribbean helping our style of play?

In the past, there were pitches in the Caribbean which were either true to fast bowling or slow bowling. Sabina park in Jamaica and Kensington in Barbados were lighting fast but also gave assistance to the slow bowlers. Bourda in Guyana was predominantly biased towards slow bowling and the Trinidad wicket was mostly medium to slow. Therefore, the  fast bowlers in those days learned to effectively cope with varied conditions, when to be tearaway fast and how to when to just hold a consistent line and length. The spinners also benefited from bounce obtained from the faster pitches. The batsmen loved the speed and bounce and coming from the faster pitches, hence the ability to effectively hook in those times. They also were able to negotiate the spin on the slower pitches by using their feet down the track.
In recent times, the state of the pitches has been gradually becoming slower and unpredictable which is limiting the bowlers and batsmen ability to assess the form of the wicket. I am wondering why can't we get back to the days when the players could easily work what the pitches had to offer.

The Board does not have a Soil specialist visiting the Region.
