England 170/2 after 37 against Zimbabwe. They got off to a flying start, but have once again been bogged down once the spinners have been introduced into the attack. This is going to be a major problem when they come up against the really good sides.

Max Holden, a prolific scorer for the Middlesex 2nd XI, has really struggled so far in this World Cup. He looks completely unsuited to one day cricket. He stays rooted to the crease, is unable to rotate the strike, and was especially hard to watch him struggle this badly. Still, he grafted away for a 50. By contrast, Dan Lawrence has been mightily impressive. The ball just makes a different sound when it comes off his bat. He is big, wristy and powerful - an impressive combination.

The spinner, Madhevere, who took 5-wickets against Fiji, was again really impressive for Zimbabwe, even more so when you take into consideration he is just 15 years of age.

England 180/3 with 10 overs to go. They will need to really push on as Zimbabwe do have a competent batting lineup. Thankfully, Jack Burnham is still at the crease, he along with Dan Lawrence is a star in the making.

Meanwhile, looking over the other scores, West Indies are in cruise control against Fiji (197/4 after 33 overs) - Pope once again in the runs, while South Africa are once again in real trouble, this time against Namibia, at 78/8.

Aneurin Donald goes for a quick fire 25. A great piece of bowling from the young 15 year-old, he pushed that one through a lot quicker and wider, leading to an easy stumping chance. Sam Curran to the crease. England 226/4 after 44.3 overs.

Sam Curran is absolutely leathering the ball right now - 20 off that over. Wow, is he impressive. He has all the shots too, the ramp, the scoop, reverse sweep, reverse slog sweep and then a textbook cover drive. England 268/4 with 2 overs to go.

Superb finish from England to get to 288/4 from their 50 overs. Jack Burnham with another century, the second of the tournament. This England team is loaded with some serious batting talent. I know they haven't faced any of the big boys yet, but it's hard not to get a little excited about the futures of players like Lawrence, Burnham, Taylor and Curran.

Meanwhile, West Indies will have their eyes set on a score of 350+ as they are currently walloping Fiji to all parts of Chittagong at 277/4 from 43 overs.

South Africa somehow see out their allotment of 50 overs, which seemed highly unlikely after they were 60/8, but they will have to bowl very well to defend 136. A win for Namibia would put them through to the quarter-finals and send the holders home early.

A good start for England with the ball as Sam Curran picks up an early wicket. I felt bad for poor Patel, he was given a right working over by the pace of Mahmood and the swing of Curran. Zimbabwe 8/1.

I will say that the rules for this World Cup are bizarre and slightly unfair. Because Zimbabwe bowled their overs inside the allotted time, they were forced to go out and bat for 15-minutes before the lunch break.

Saqib Mahmood finds a feather edge and Zimbabwe are reeling at 10/2. A beaut of a delivery, pace with a hint of movement. He is already bowling at 86mph, impressive stuff for an 18 year-old. He looks to be England's best fast bowling prospect.
