To say that Chandrika has had a rough start to his Test career is an understatement. He started his career with a pair of ducks in Jamaica - the 40th batsman to start his Test career in such fashion. Unfortunately, things got even worse in this Test. With his duck in the second innings, Chandrika is now the first opening batsman to score three ducks over his first two Test matches.

Only two other batsman have had a worse start to a Test career; Marvan Atapattu scored just 1 run in his first six Test innings, including three consecutive ducks to start his career.

New Zealand batsman Ken Rutherford had a similarly horrendous start to his Test career, notching 3 ducks and just 12 runs in his first seven innings.

He looks a prospect to me and he should have an extended run.

Seems willing to rotate, quite a good technique and his flaws will be ironed out with experience.

I like his approach.
