England hold their nerve

What an epic second T20I between England and Pakistan. I just got finished watching the full match replay and I am exhausted. That match had so many twists and turns. Full credit to Woakes for holding his nerve at the end when it looked as though Afridi had turned the match in Pakistan's favour.

Afridi really turned back the clock in this one with both bat and ball. He bowled beautifully and then almost took the game away from England mashing 24 from 8 balls when all seemed lost for the hosts. With 11 needed from the last over, I thought Pakistan were going to win, so this was a real bonus.

Poor Liam Plunkett much feel so hard done by. He waits all tour to get a game, bowls with real pace, picked up 3 wickets in both matches and can't even get a place on the tour to South Africa.

Special mentions to James Vince and Rashid would bowled beautifully. He had Maqsood looking mystified before bowling him with a googly.

That was one for the ages. The crowd were excellent too.

For fans of interesting trivia like myself, according to Bumble on the broadcast, this was the first time in a T20I match that both openers had been out stumped.

It's been a good series up to now and I've enjoyed it. Both teams have had their moments and even for the neutral I think they're games that can be watched and enjoyed.

ODI like this are what will get more and more people interested in the game, and even people I know that don't like cricket will sit and watch this format of the game.
