You need someone with a Sehwag/Warner approach to test batting to break the record. They need to be an opener, and have a high strike-rate.

more Smith than Warner.  Warner does not have the focus and stamina..nor intellect.

Taylor and Williamson better than he in those ways.  and even Taylor cant make it.  which leaves Smith who apparently still has upside to him
