Akhtar's the last great Pakistani fast bowler, I think.

I used to call him the Velociraptor.

Modern batsmen are lucky they dodged that glut of great fastbowlers in the 1990s.

Akhtar still bringing the heat was my biggest takeaway from the first All Star match in New York. He still gets it down there at a fair old pace. Not bad for a 40-year-old that hasn't played any cricket in over four years.
