Nathan McCullum has announced he will retire from international cricket at the end of New Zealand's season to spend more time with his family.

McCullum made a nice career out of being a one-day specialist. He has yet to make a decision as to whether he will return next year to play for the Zouks.

I was curious to see what the record is for most ODI's played without featuring in a Test match. McCullum has played 84 ODI matches and never appeared in a Test. This puts him second on the list. The current record holder is Kieron Pollard who has played 91 ODIs and yet to receive a Test cap.

Rohit Sharma is the all-time record holder, playing in 108 ODIs before making his Test debut.

Well good for him if he wants to spend more time at home. He could still feature in some t20 leagues if the teams are interested in acquiring his services.
