3rd ODI: Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan at Bulawayo

With the series perhaps unexpectedly tied up at 1-1, Afghanistan have won the toss in the third ODI and elected to bat. It has been a solid albeit slow start by the visitors as they are currently 136/4. After a second wicket stand of 73, Zimbabwe took three wickets for 8 runs and clawed their way back into a decent position. With 15 overs left, Afghanistan will surely be targeting a score of 240.

Mohammad Nabi is run out for 42 and suddenly Afghanistan will likely be thrilled to reach 220 as they have slumped to 139/4 from 36 overs.

A rapid fire eighth wicket partnership of 44 from just 20 balls gets Afghanistan up to 223/8.

Zimbabwe sneak home to a six wicket win with 2 balls remaining. Afghanistan put up a good fight but a strong fifth wicket partnership between Chigumbura and Sikandar Raza gave Zimbabwe a 2-1 series lead.
