Pakistan’s captain Misbah-ul-Haq has said that he has set no deadline for retiring from Test cricket and would review his future after the series against England in the UAE.

Misbah, 41, who has represented Pakistan in 58 Tests and 162 one-day internationals captaining in both formats since late 2010, had earlier said that he would like to retire after playing the planned series against India in December this year.

“I have made no plans at this time but I will review my future and what I should do after the series against Engl­and,” Misbah said. “It is a challenge to lead the Pakistan team and the players have done well as a unit which is why despite not playing at home since 2009 we have achieved notable success.”

At 41, he is the fittest - It is better to be 41 and fit rather than 24 and be like Nasir Jamshed.

To be brutally honest, he is one of your best test bat even today. He's really fit and strong in the head too. So why not continue with him ? I expect Pak test batting to face a tough period after Misbah and Younis hang up their boots
