WIPA, UWI sign MOU to help prepare the total cricketer !!

The West Indies Players Association and the University of the West Indies Open Campus (UWIOC)

yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Members of the WIPA will now have at their fingertips the tools to further their training and development

with the assistance of the UWIOC.

Training and development will come at a discounted cost to WIPA members once they fulfill UWIOC's entry requirements.

WIPA's President and CEO Wavell Hinds said the move is "a step in the right direction for the development of our players".


"WIPA is extremely pleased that through this partnership with UWIOC, we can help prepare our membership :

for a better life during and after cricket," 

                           

Pro-Vice Chancellor and Principal of the UWIOC, Dr Luz M Longsworth,saluted the partnership.

"The University of the West Indies is certainly pleased to embark on this venture with the West Indies Players' Association.

This partnership allows for the flexibility of the members of the association to continue their studies :

without putting their lives or careers on hold,"

Well cricket is a mental sport and so having smarter cricketers will improve the cricket in the region. I think this is a good initiative by UWI and WIPA.

Mapoui can conduct the History course on Cricket as an adjunct Prof with Dr. Christine Cummings

Whinds WIPA/UWI looks a terrible eff..a sort of Frankenstein Phuk out of which only a monster can emerge..one dat looks like an amalgam of Whinds and Skameron standing on each others back to make some height, and ugly like sin. :: :: ::

I remember talking with the good professor about the state of education in the west indies and its atrocious irrelevant content on Sissy. I got into the Jewish domination and direction of the rotten west indian education scene and she shut up like trap door had been sprung, and got to hell out of that thread.

her fear was palpable, demonstrated by that instantaneous flight, triggered by mention of our Jewish overlords in charge of her field of employment in the west indies ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::

  she wasn't going to threaten her professorship even if it's content is anti west indian, and forrin inspired and dominated.  such is the way of our bureaucrats and so -called technocrats.  their positions and prestige is all.. even at the expense of the west indian people. :-[ :-[ :-[

who mentioned Cummings for the wicb chairmanship  ::confused:: 

she wont take it..or aspire to it.  she knows she would not or cant do a good job in that for the very same reason...she would have to go against the establishment.  she isnt going to to dat...ever.  she won ever be a candidate for anything of  the sort as a result.  she aint no fool.

she would have to give up her half-progressive public position on issues which helps her public persona to look good, puts her in a progressive stream...makes her look progressive.  in any office she would have to compromise dat because she would have to, and would willingly, toe the established line.

and that wud be dat for her as a publicly progressive figure.

she wont run for such office.
