Atapattu resigns as Sri Lanka coach

Marvan Atapattu has resigned as Sri Lanka coach, Sri Lanka Cricket has announced. His resignation was accepted by the board. Neither the board, nor Atapattu has offered a reason for the decision.

Attapattu is not a head coach material. He has done a right thing resigning. Selectors should be resigned too.


What SL cricket needed is, good mixture of young and Seniors in the team, has to be based on performance, not based one "One day he will deliver". Thirimane and Karunaratne had so many those "one day" and never deliverd.

I feel SL has the talent to play any team but just need to think differently. I doubt with a local coach it will come through.
