India are in complete control of this match with a lead of 188 and 9 wickets still remaining. Only three teams have ever scored more than 250 in the fourth innings of a Test match here. The highest successful run chase is 352 by Sri Lanka in 2006 against South Africa.

Just to further expand upon my previous post where I mentioned that Sangakkara has only played 2 matches against India over the last 3 years. Below is a table showing the number of runs Sanga has scored against the top 8 teams. As we can see, he has scored the most runs against Pakistan; India are 4th on the list.

It was all a bit sad watching Sanga walk off the pitch one last time. The end of an era. I was rooting desperately for him to get a 50 for one final celebration. Credit to India for the respect and sportsmanship they showed upon his dismissal.

India should look to wrap it up by the second session.Should they themselves go on the defensive,then there will be no stopping the sri lankan Juggernaut from clinching the series here.

Seven down now and 5 wickets in the morning session. Ashwin leading the way with 4 wickets in the second innings. Skies look a little overcast but nothing that should stop India.
