SHANE Warne wants the on-field umpire’s original call to have no bearing on the final result of referrals to the decision review system.
The Australian cricket legend angrily called for change after Nathan Lyon was denied a LBW call against Moeen Ali during day three.
Lyon trapped Ali on the crease when he was 24 but umpire Kumar Dharmasena gave him not out. The Aussies referred the decision but were denied when ball-tracking technology indicated the delivery was only collecting half of leg stump.

ENGLISH batsman Jos Buttler has reignited the walking debate by heading back to the pavilion before being given out by umpire Kumar Dharmasena on day three of the second Test.
Buttler appeared to send the faintest of edges through to wicketkeeper Peter Nevill off the bowling of Nathan Lyon but didn’t force the umpire to make a decision. He departed for 13 in a crucial blow to England’s chances of chasing down Australia’s first innings score of 8/566 declared.
Replays showed Dharmasena comically shaking his head at Australia’s initial appeal, before raising his finger when Buttler turned to go.

“I don’t think umpire Dharmasena was going to give it — and technology didn’t convince us either did it?” Channel 9 commentator Ian Healy said.
Snicko appeared to show a faint edge but it wasn’t conclusive. Reaction to Buttler’s decision to walk was mixed.
