Bangladesh book Champions Trophy spot

Bangladesh are currently ranked seventh in ICC ODI rankings :with Pakistan and West Indies below them.

They have 94 rating points and have guaranteed their qualification for the 2017 Champions Trophy.

If they lose the last ODI of the series, they will drop to 93 rating points, which will still be enough to ensure qualification

because there is no scenario in which both Pakistan and West Indies can each achieve 93 rating points


The cut-off date for the qualification is September 30, 2015

Well the West Indies or Pakistan will be deserving of missing the 2017 Champions trophy because they have no really done much in odi cricket in the last five years or more.

You are wrong about Pakistan. Over the last 5 years, Pakistan have the 5th best W/L record in ODI cricket and have won more games than every other team with the exception of India, Sri Lanka and Australia.

Pakistan won their group in the 2011 World Cup, winning 5 out of the 6 matches they played. They beat West Indies in the Quarter-finals and lost to India, the eventual winners, in the Semi-finals.

I hope Windies with all this CPL practice can secure a spot.
