Guardian Group 2014 Herman Griffith Primary School Tournament

Charles F. Broome Primary stormed into the final of the Guardian Group 2014 Herman Griffith Primary School Tournament after defeating Milton Lynch by five wickets today at Dover.

Sent in to bat, Milton Lynch Primary were bundled out for a paltry 40 off 16 overs and in response, Charles F. Broome strolled to 41 for five in 19.2 overs, to complete victory.

It was spinner Caleb Massiah who set up victory for Charles F. Broome as he destroyed Milton Lynch’s batting by capturing five wickets for just seven runs from just five overs.

[/color][color=rgb(85, 85, 85)]None of Milton Lynch batsmen managed to get into double figures, with the highest score being six runs scored by opener Dominic Brathwaite.[/color]
[/color][color=rgb(85, 85, 85)]In their run chase, Charles F. Broome got a top score of 13 not out from Raneico Smith while Massiah chipped in with ten, as they too lost wickets steadily.[/color]
[/color][color=rgb(85, 85, 85)]In next Thursday’s final, Charles F. Broome will now face West Terrace Primary who secured their place in the championship game on Wednesday when they defeated favourites Bayley’s Primary by ten runs.[/color]
