Windian batsmen play far too in front of themselves, cut too close to the off stumps, leave a lot of space between bat and pads and for batsmen who play so much spin, cannot seem to use their feet.

Samuels do it sometimes and Shiv used to use his feet very, very effectively.

That is where Kalli can help Shiv, giving him the confidence in his ability to use his feet and to be more positive without going crazy. However Shiv is more or less the finished article but the others will need a lot of work but a good time to get guys like Johnson and Blackwood.

The one I feel need the most help is Brathwaite as he almost plas with the edge of his bat and in moving conditions he is gone. I get the feeling Steyn & Co will beat him up badly. Very poor technique for an opener.

Shiv will be the first one in line to seek Kalli's help!  he is never finished learning!

Braffy will be second.

But I am surprised that you have not mentioned WI most promising talent, lil Bravo!

What about Marlon?

Leon could learn to open his Collar and coupla front buttons of shirt

We saw Shiv poking around with his pads against NZ and spinner Sodhi dismissed him twice LBW when he chose to pad out instead of using his bat. But in his last innings against Bangladesh when he scored 101* Shiv did use his feet.

* Kali was a great player of spin---and can certainly remind Shiv to move his feet or avoid using his pad against the Indian spinners in the upcoming series.

* SHIV IS OVERDUE FOR A HUNDRED AGAINST INDIA.

* These were his last 4 scores against India last year: 36, 31*, 25, 41

* In that 41---Ashwin trapped him LBW when he chose to hide his bat behind his pad---he was looking set for a hundred---then got lazy---and started using his pad.
