The bowling staff needed 41 minutes on Monday's 4th and final day.
That's the time it took for Jamaica to claim the last five Combined Campuses and Colleges' wickets to record a 59-run victory at the 3Ws Oval at Cave Hill, Barbados, and vault themselves into the semi-finals of the WICB Regional 4-Day Tournament.
Resuming on 155-5 and needing another 82 runs to win, The CCC only managed to add 22 more runs in 41minutes, as John Campbell 4-17 provided the spur Jamaica needed to wrap up an intriguing victory. Nikita Miller finished with 3-61, Jerome Taylor 2-36 and Damion Jacobs 1-31. The Jamaicans batting for the CCC were Shacoya Thomas who made 15, Chadwick Walton 47, Paul Palmer nought and Akeem Dewar 1.
With the 12 points awarded for an outright win plus the 3 bowling bonus points, Jamaica emerged with 15 points to catapult them into 4th position on 59 points, 10 more than the CCC who claimed only 3 bonus bowling points to be on 49 points. The CCC started the 7th round 2-points ahead of Jamaica.
Jamaica's Carlton Baugh Jr was named man of the match for his knocks of 57 and 78 in a low scoring encounter.
Final scores: Jamaica 182 and 215; CCC 161 and 177, chasing 237 to win.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
