Chittagong: England captain Stuart Broad was Sunday fined 15 percent of his match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after pleading guilty to a Level 1 charge of publicly criticising match officials following his team's Group 1 encounter against New Zealand.
After the match on Saturday, Broad was found to have breached Article 2.1.7 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "public criticism of, or inappropriate comment in relation to an incident occurring in an International Match or any Player, Player Support Personnel, Match official or team participating in any International Match".
On Sunday evening, Broad admitted the offence and accepted the proposed sanction offered to him by ICC Match Referees Javagal Srinath.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
