Can we avoid preaching ketch? I wouldn't mind discussing the "status of women" in Islam or whatevs, and it's much more complicated than that.
And secondly:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambivalent_sexism
FTR.
PS: What I can objectively say about that is, terrible spelling and the guy who made that is defo gonna burn in hell for that, if such a place exists

I do not think wishing for a boy is neither strange nor it should not be at the detriment of girls.
The aristocracy and the royal family are not just proponents for arranged marriages but they do desire sons to carry on the line and title. However very recently changes have been made to address this issue.
As a father myself I wanted a healthy child but also wanted a son. If Africa has 4 daughters I see no harm hoping for a son, do you?
Apropos women in Islam. I do not think Ketchim is preaching as he is sharing the misunderstood position of women in Islam.
One should not and never confuse Islam with the practices of some Muslims.

In my books, normally one wishes for a healthy new born baby regardless of sex.....
If some religions preach the sex of a baby ... then more fool to it and their followers !!! ::yawn::
