An inspired century from West Indies wicketkeeper Nicolas Pooran was not enough to prevent Australia booking their place in the semi-finals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
Australia appeared set for an incredibly simple day’s work as they reduced West Indies to 70 for eight in the 27th over but Pooran found a willing ally in number 10 Jerome Jones and launched an astonishing assault.
Of the 23 boundaries in the West Indies innings, 14 fours and six sixes belonged to Pooran, who was last man out for 143 out of 208 all out.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Pooran showing his worth - at least there's that. Taking some comfort in that tbh. I hope this is not some odd fluke and he can score consistently.
Well played Nicholas. Keep em coming son. Well deserved win otherwise.

As in what, IPL and that sort of thing? Well he'd have to do this more consistently to get a contract I guess. IDK.
