No ....IF his poor performance continues , he may not have a place in the XI.
2nd TIER Kiwis beat them in a Test match series.

Although Dhoni's captaincy has been a topic of discussion through the recent run of defeats for the Indian Cricket team, I still believe that he is still the most capable individual in the current crop of players to lead the team. Virat Kohli, in my opinion, is still too inexperienced to take on the role of captaincy. Even though he has enjoyed a lot of success in his batting career, he is still rash and is prone to let his anger take the better of him in certain situations.

deh shud pair up dhoni with a good, solid thinking, intelligent and aggressive HC..if that sort of animal exists.
I don't think deh do so I wont even bother.
I would give dhoni no HC at all and allow him to go after cricket supremacy on his own, collecting around himself intellects of his own choice in the manager and whatever assistants he need up to 3 people, who should ideally be the selection committee
these people shud be about cricket, to be played as the game dictates and nutten to do with current BCCI politics.... money and power grabs

Why not? He captained the Indian U-19 team. And I believe he captains his IPL team also.
South Africa took a punt on Graeme Smith when he was only 22 yrs old and look how that turned out. India definitely need a better Test captain. Dhoni is way too conservative in his tactics.

I have no real problems with his assertive manner as long as he does not cross the line.
However NO.
Reason being he needs to get more experience and runs under his belt.

Mailstah,
Kohli has proven his worth in tests I'd say - if they are looking for a captain, I wouldn't mind Kohli being that. I mean Graeme Smith did pretty darn well and he had next to nothing as far as runs were concerned at the time.
However, I'm not convinced that he could captain the side well as it stand. But Dhoni's captaincy is the same shitty defensive captaincy that you see in India - which works in their track, but not overseas. This is why he failed disastrously in Oz as well.
