With all the furore surrounding the Kevin Pietersen saga it is easy to dismiss the fact that England have named their touring party for the one-day Internationals in the West Indies and the World Twenty/20 in Bangladesh as they bid to rebuild after the Australian disaster.
In addition to playing three one-day internationals, England will also face West Indies in three Twenty20 matches in early March. They will then travel to Bangladesh for the World Twenty/20, which takes place between 16 March and 6 April. England's squad, whilst full of capable cricketers, is missing a true world class player that can give supporters hope of winning a major World tournament once again.
Only players such as Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan can claim to have the shot selection and presence similar to Pietersen but they still lack his x-factor. Ben Stokes has the potential to be a star of the future but is only new to International cricket and supporters should not place their hopes on such a young cricketer so soon.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

KP gone with a County , quick time
Discarded England batsman Kevin Pietersen has signed a new contract to play for Surrey this season.
Pietersen will play in the revamped Twenty20 Blast, but could also appear in first-class and 50-over games depending on other commitments.
The county opened negotiations with the 33-year-old after he was released from his central contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
