Interesting to see Joe Root back in place of Gary Ballance. Will give another bowling option for Alastair Cook, who said he would have batted first as well.

Why are they picking Root for Ballance? I'd have kicked Bopara out if anything and let Ballance continue.
But then again Bopara does well with the ball, so fair enough I guess.

And I know that it's just ODI etc. - but Marsh does not inspire confidence. AT ALL. I don't know how he's supposed to do well in SA in tests.
I hope he doesn't get a place in the XI - but in all likelyhood he might :/
