It is now .... I see Mike Atherton has chimed in. Find it strange that Boycott (who always has something to say about everybody and their dead granny) hasn't ........ and closer to home Mikey Holding has said nowt.

Boycs'd be pretty happy actually. He doesn't give a shit about lower ranked teams, he'd be all for it. He also is unlikely to have objections to a whole "survival of the fittest" type crap.
He's pretty typical Englishman in that sense
Athers is more objective and unbiased. I'm sure Naz, Bumble etc. would share the same opinion, regardless of whether they state it openly or not.

India has never penetrated the international game and so why are people concerned about their withdrawal?

Because they will take their big bag of cash with them and in the process offer no more of their table scraps to the near bankrupt boards like the WICB, PCB and BCB.
I forgot who said it, but India will do well to remember that with great power, comes great responsibilities.

I hope they do go. it will break the ICC and that's fine by me
lets see what the parasite boards will do especially wicb.
cricket will reform in time with international organization hopefully much more practical than it is now...with its service much more democratic.
every time a problem arises and it passes through the pressure cooker of ICC resolution, it comes out the other end like home umpire situation did..in the form of the elite umpires system...which is much worse than the problem it purported to address
that is because the ICC is old, decayed, still colonial in the modern world. it is time for it to go and be replaced by something more in tune with the needs of the day.
the ICC is also the upholder of the national boards, of the same colonialist racist class conscious nature as the current ICC. if the ICC falls Skameron and dem might not be able to save themselves. and if they do they would have to become nationalistic in order to get the local support they need to survive without ICC support..backed up by Indian kakadah
to my way of thinking it would be best if India pulls out and the ICC collapses. tremendous! major change that is likely to precipitate

Oh,pls don't make me ignite an argument here.Call it whatever you may, backyard kings or flat track bullies or whatever but it does remain that India are a force to be dealt with in international matches. For instance, what did England do in the recent Ashes series..?? In spite of acclaiming themselves as good players of swing, they did succumb to Aus bowling.
India can any day beat any team on their day,and provided they pull up their socks.
Abuse the board, but not the players.
That said.No offence whatsoever..
