West Indies captain Darren Sammy is hoping to recover from his hamstring injury in time to face Ireland in February. Sammy hoping to face Ireland The all-rounder picked up the injury during the recent tour of New Zealand and he will miss the upcoming NAGICO Super50 tournament which gets underway on January 30. Sammy will head to Antigua to continue his rehabilitation, but he is hoping to play some part in the two Twenty20 internationals and one-day international match against Ireland next month. Speaking to WICB Media, Sammy said: "I suffered a Grade 2 injury in New Zealand and it is still not fully healed. I still require some more time to get back 'on the park'. "I want to make sure I'm at peak fitness when I make my return. I'm looking to make a return when we [West Indies] play against Ireland in Jamaica in the second half of February. In his absence, Liam Sebastien will captain the side, with Craig Emmanuel coming in as cover.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
